The story
It all started more or less accidentally. For some years we had owned a larger plot of land just outside Chiang Mai where we grew rice. One day Pui and Thong decided to invite some of their friends over with kids for a fun family day at the farm. They organized kid’s workshops one of them teaching them how to plant and harvest rice. It didn’t take many days for the word to spread about all the fun they had, and people started calling Pui asking if she could organize the same for their kids. GINGER FARM was born.
Today GINGER FARM is a fully operational Thai farm still growing organic rice, served at our restaurants, vegetable gardens also organic and many animals. We run daily workshops right from rice planting to harvesting, cooking and art classes and many more not to forget our hugely popular mud slide. We also conduct team building seminars for businesses and many private events such as birthdays and weddings.
When so many people turn up, they need to be fed so we opened a small café serving mainly very traditional Northern Thai food. This café became the start to our next concept GINGER FARM KITCHEN.
